Here is an update on the steam bent wooden bench that we designed in collaboration with Reaching Quiet who were the fabricators on the project. See here and here for past progress posts on the bench.

5Church graphics package

Posted: August 14, 2012 in Graphic Design, Web Design

Since the beginning of this year, Independently New has been busy working with 5Church, the new  restaurant in uptown Charlotte that opened its doors in May. We developed an extensive graphics package – including logo, business cards, menus, flyers, invites, web site and sales kits. Here is a glimpse at a few of the items. More updates to come, as we continue to work with 5church and develop their brand.

Over the last 6+ months, Independently New developed a graphics package for 5 Church, a great new restaurant in uptown Charlotte. Stay tuned for a detailed look at the graphics package, which included the logo, business cards,  menus, flyer designs, and more .

In the meantime, we are excited to announce the official launch of the web site, designed by Independently New, developed by NextLevel Image.

Earlier this fall, Storefront for Art and Architecture Gallery in NYC hosted an exhibition for Occupy Wall Street. It was open call for entries of design strategies for public occupation. Select entries were featured as post cards in the gallery for 7 days as seen in the images. Here is Independently New’s entry.

The mockups for the bench have been built. They were used for the client to confirm and approve the comfort of the shape. On to the final product. Fabrication will begin shortly. Check back for updates

Here is the final form rendering of the steam bent wooden bench being designed for a client here in Charlotte. It will be both functional and sculptural. A place to lounge and observe the natural beauty of the garden in which it will sit.

The plaza midwood neighborhood will soon be the home of charlotte first public bike repair stand. If the project is successful, we hope to get these in pedestrian friendly neighborhoods all over the city.

I have a new client that practices Reflexology. Reflexology explores interactions between pressure points in the feet and their relationship to the body as a whole.

This slideshow depicts the fist steps we took in the design process of her new logo. The footprints were then digitized and vectorized to create the final product. Check back tomorrow to see the final outcome.

Life Quality Resources

It’s been a while since my last post, but there are a lot of interesting projects underway, so stay tuned for much more to come in the following weeks.

Here are a couple of logo concepts we did for Life Quality Resources. LQR is a Neurological research and therapeutic center based in Raleigh, NC. They do fascinating work, and I am exciting to be working on their new website in the following months.
